A note from the Author

I’m Mitzi Perdue, and I'm passionate about sharing information to support people everywhere on their journey to being all they can be.

My most recent book, Mark Victor Hansen, Relentless, is about Mark Victor Hansen, who many of you may recognize as a co-author of Chicken Soup for the Soul. As the widow of the poultry guy, Frank Perdue, I like to say, : "The chicken man's wife is writing about the chicken soup man!"

On my personal journey, I’ve earned degrees from both Harvard University and George Washington University. Additionally, I’m proud to be the past president of the 40,000-member American Agri-Women coalition, as well as a former US delegate to the United Nations Conference on Women in Nairobi.

Currently, I write for Psychology Today, the Association of Foreign Press Correspondents, and host EarthX’s TV show The Pen and the Planet. Before writing Mark Victor Hansen Relentless, I authored Tough Man, Tender Chicken: Business and Life Lessons from Frank Perdue. This book reached #5 on Amazon’s list of business biographies from a field of more than 20,000 books. I’m also the author of I Didn’t Bargain For This, my story of growing up as a hotel heiress. My father was president and co-founder of the Sheraton Hotel Chain.
